The forces exerted on the bale Opener depend upon the following: number of coils in the spring unit, wire ga.uge and spring design. Note, this force is the same rega.rdless of the number of units in your package.
Following is a chart showing representative samples of the forces involved. You can easily see that the use of higher coil count units - such as the 336 or 364 Bonnell and the higher coil count offset units - may make your old bale opening equipment marginal at best and unacceptable for many oversized units.
